CHAT Alumni in Israel Have a Reunion -- with Alumni Over 40 years of CHAT
Image

On September 1, 2005, the CHAT alumni in Israel held their first reunion, at Ramot Shapira in moshav Beit Meir. Graduates as far back as 1965, the first graduating class, mingled with more recent grads in an evening of nostalgia and trading aliya experiences. There are currently approximately 160 CHAT alumni living in Israel. The reunion hosted about 80 people, including over 50 graduates, many of whom came with spouses.

During the evening the group enjoyed a CHAT 40 year retrospective slideshow, a tribute to a number of teachers/shlichim:
Moshe Ben-Baruch, Avshalom Grafi, Simon Attias, and Bob Cherniak, visiting from Toronto.  The group also held a memorial tribute to Rabbi Yitchak Witty, z"l, former director the Toronto Board of Jewish Education.

Now that the CHAT folks in Israel have organized, they wish to become a bridge to Israel for CHAT students and alumni alike. For more information on CHAT alumni in Israel email to chat.alumni@gmail.com

CHAT Grad Martin Himel ('75) wins Plaudits for Documentary on Anti-Semitism on Canadian Univerity Campuses

The documentary 'Confrontation at Concordia' continues to win kudos.
It has recently been accepted by the New York International Film and

The film documents the events that ensued from the scheduled speech
